Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat! Hard to believe, but December is upon us and Blackberry Ridge Vintage Home & Garden Shop is really looking festive. We've had a great time preparing the space with loads of vintage and unique Christmas decor, ornaments, and unique gifts.
As a family-based small business ourselves, we take great pride in supporting others who practice their craft on a small scale, producing items with unique character and flair that serve as a kind of "antidote" to the big-box store effect that has made so much of our decor and gift-giving standardized and predictable.
For months, I've been gathering vintage Christmas decor items, handpicked by us for the memories they call to mind of a simpler, gentler time, when Christmas wasn't quite so commercial.
We've also been working with artisans and craftspeople from around Western North Carolina, the U.S., and beyond to bring you their wares, the kinds of things you'll never see on the shelf at your local chain store.
It gets repeated a lot at this time of year, but it's true: "shopping small" really does have an impact.
Not only do you get decor for your home and gifts for your loved ones that nobody else has, but you help feed families, build local economies, and more!
